Over a million kids in the UK don't have a proper bed to sleep on tonight. They might sleep on a futon, a sofa or share with siblings. This is called Bed Poverty. But despite affecting over 30% of families in Britain, it's hardly talked about. After all, it goes on whilst we're sleeping.
We want to change this. Raising funds and awareness to work with local authorities and providing a bed for every child that needs one.

Derrick Evans MBE, widely known as Mr Motivator, is a health and wellbeing consultant, motivational speaker and the founder of Mr Motivator’s Bed Bank.
Rising to fame in the early 1990's through his uplifting appearances on breakfast television, Derrick has spent decades encouraging people to move more and feel better in ways that are fun, inclusive and accessible to all. In 2021, he was awarded an MBE in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the nation’s health and wellbeing.
Having overcome significant personal challenges himself, resilience and compassion sit at the heart of Derrick’s work. Through Mr Motivator’s Bed Bank, he is committed to improving quality of life for children across the UK by tackling child bed poverty and helping ensure every child has a safe, comfortable place to sleep.
